If you are under 16 or have special needs, we may share your information with your parent or legal guardian or any person appointed to manage your affairs.
Dawn Projects has no intent to disclose personal information to overseas recipients unless required to meet legal requirements.
If your personal information is requested by overseas recipients, Dawn Projects will take reasonable actions to ensure that the overseas recipient will comply the Privacy Act, 1988 and Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012. We will seek your consent to meet legal requirements. If Dawn Projects is required to disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient it will specify those countries in its notification or otherwise inform the individual.
We keep a hard-copy or electronic record on our premises and systems or offsite using trusted third parties. Our security safeguards include: Staff Education and Training – We train and keep our staff informed of their privacy obligations. Precautionary Measures for Exchanging Information– We ensure appropriate data handling and security measures are implemented when sending information internally and to third parties System Security – We use firewalls, Anti-Virus software and ensure adequate password security to prevent unauthorised access. Office Security – We protect our premise by employing security systems, alarms, cameras and access passes. Data Retention and Disposal –We keep information for as long as required to meet legal obligations and to meet business activities. Data that is no longer required will be disposed in an appropriate secure manner.
Under the Privacy Act (as amended) you have the right to seek: Access to your personal information that we have obtained To correct information about you which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date Updated your personal information To request access to your personal information please contact our Manager, Finance and Administration in writing. (Level 1, 96 Royal Street, East Perth WA 6004) We require you to identify yourself before any information is being released However we may deny you request for access where: The information is frivolous or vexatious The access impacts on the privacy of others There are existing or anticipated legal proceedings Such access can be denied under law or by a law enforcement authority
Our policy is to consider any request for access or correction within a reasonable period. If we deny your request for access we will advise you in writing stating our reasons for rejection of your request. Fees may apply if substantial and extensive hours are required to compile and address your personal information request.
Dawn Projects endeavours to ensure that your personal information is managed correctly and you reserve the right to report a complaint. If you are reporting a complaint please contact us in writing by addressing your letter to our Managing Director (Level 1, 96 Royal Street, East Perth WA 6004). Your concerns will be reviewed, addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Every complaint will be acknowledged within 7 days and we will keep you informed of the progress as to how this complaint will be or has been handled. However, if we are unable to provide a final response within 30 days, we will contact you to explain why and discuss a time frame to resolve the complaint.
If you are unsatisfied with our complaint resolution, you may redirect your complaint for external dispute resolution.
